Speaking at the event, the band expressed appreciation for the continued support from brand partners, noting that such collaborations have played a key role in enabling live bands to grow their audiences and artistic reach.

“We are incredibly grateful to be working with brands like Tusker Malt and The Singleton. They have consistently created platforms that allow bands like ours to grow, experiment, and connect with audiences across the country,” the band said.

They added that the upcoming concert represents more than just a performance milestone.

“This concert is not just about us, it’s about a whole movement of live music, and we’re proud to have partners who understand that,” the band noted.

Sponsors also described the event as a defining moment for Uganda’s live music ecosystem.

Sandra Againe said Tusker Malt’s involvement reflects its commitment to authentic musical expression and live performance culture.

“Tusker Malt has always been committed to supporting authentic musical talent and live performance. Abeeka Band represents the very best of Uganda’s session musicians, craft, discipline, and artistry,” she said.

Simon Lapyem of The Singleton emphasized the broader industry significance, particularly for session musicians gaining visibility as lead performers.

“This is a landmark moment, not just for Abeeka, but for session players across Uganda who are now stepping into the spotlight,” he said.

The Roots & Vibes concert will feature a mix of crowd favourites, reimagined Ugandan classics, and tributes to musicians who have influenced the band’s sound over the years.

The event will also include a guest performance by veteran musician Joanita Kawalya.

As anticipation builds, the concert is being viewed as part of a wider shift in Uganda’s entertainment scene, where live bands are increasingly gaining prominence, audiences are demanding richer live experiences, and brands are playing a more active role in shaping the direction of the industry.
